With Venus at home in Libra right now, all types of relationships are undergoing a mega review by the Goddess of Justice. This is one of the most revealing transits of the year. Sometimes action must be taken; at other times we must lay low and wait. This is the art of tact, this Libran wisdom of knowing how and when to act. Like a noble diplomat, Libra listens and offers great advice. She also opens like a rose to reveal true love. As her golden hand passes by, she strengthens that which must last and cuts away the rest. What we’re working on: community; communication; reciprocity; mutual appreciation; harmony; equality; healthy confrontation; supporting and being supported.

Next week Venus enters water constellation Scorpio and intensifies the above themes, but with an emphasis on power & control dynamics. The end goal is to reclaim our personal power.

Venus in Scorpio expresses her love with ferocious intensity. She does not want, she needs. She doesn’t stop until her prey is lying helplessly in the grasp of her pincers. Witchy Scorpio lives deep beneath the surface, circling mysteriously. This archetype is extreme & relentless. She does not want to chat, she wants to make passionate love. She is driven, ambitious, prone to addiction and obsession, churning the inky night into a whirlpool of hot blood and  desire.

Scorpio is the sign of transformation and rebirth, but first comes the wounded heart, the spiritual crisis. If you’re brave enough to go down, diving to the bottom of the scorpion cove brings us to breaking point. This is scorpion medicine: renewal through obliteration.

Venus in Scorpio teaches us how to strike a balance between power and vulnerability. To be at once exposed and concealed: this is what the scorpion most fears and desires. Under her influence, we scramble to remain in control when things start to feel less than perfect. But when we finally break down and let go of our need for control, we break through to a state of greater awareness. Scorpio must learn that she cannot force or mold the path. The journey simply unfolds as it must, year after year.

The scorpion’s stinger can destroy all in a moment…or she can hold on to her poison, turn it to gold inside her, and let it fuel her metamorphosis.

It is worth asking: what would happen if I “lost control”? What would that really look like?

Scorpio leads us to Sagittarius. She prepares us for the centaur’s effulgent starlight. But before we enter these sparkling amethyst flames, we need to get real. And by get real I mean that we need to be honest. With so much sexual/emotional energy flooding in, things are bound to get complicated…& delicious. Bear in mind that Venus in Scorpio is ultimately about self-discovery rather than sex or lust. The passion we seek in interpersonal relationships is really intended for self-love <3

We don’t want to come out of this transit feeling like we need to heal – ideally this transit will be the healing. I hope you come away from this transit feeling stronger and sexier.

Nov 7: Venus square Pluto in Aquarius + Uranus retrogrades back to Taurus. Major change point. Pluto’s influence is sexy & empowering, although also intense on the body. We will feel strong; capable; energized; and productive. Complex karmic destines are hatching and we will not learn the details until much later.

Nov 9: Mercury Retrograde begins

Nov 11: Jupiter Retrograde in Cancer begins + Quarter Moon in Leo

Nov 21: Sagittarius Season begins

Nov 24: Venus conjunct Mercury Rx in Scorpio.

Nov 26: Venus trine Jupiter Rx in Cancer + Saturn Retrograde in Pisces. Sickness, deceit, deception. Be careful with this watery Pisces energy. Things are not what they seem. Octopus & mushroom vibes.

Nov 27: Saturn Retrograde ends + Quarter Moon in Pisces 🐠

Nov 29: Mercury Retrograde ends + Venus opposite Uranus Rx in Taurus. Expect curveballs. Chaos reigns. The waves are choppy but we have to go with the flow to save our energy and make it out unscathed. As for the Sun-Mars square, this one is fatiguing & uncomfortable, especially on the physical level. Change is afoot.

Nov 30 (last day of transit): Venus trine Neptune in Pisces. Dreamlike; fantasy reigns. Hopes and expectations soar. Confusion, miscommunication, or disappointment can crop up.
