Venus in Leo ♀ 2022
Aug 11 – Sep 4, 2022
With Venus in Cancer for the last couple weeks, we’ve been digging in the sand for love, softness, and forgiveness. Emotions roll in and out with the waves. We’re spending more time with ourselves, more time trying to understand our own nature. This is definitely an incubation period and should be treated as such. This is the only way to really tap into our sensitivity, vulnerability, intuition.
Now we are just finishing up the stabilization process rendered by Cancer Season. You can stay in your shell for just a bit longer but soon Venus will join the sun & Mercury in Leo and the fire will blast us right out of there.
Venus transits speak to our heart and how the heart connects to others. With Venus in Leo, the heart radiates sultry fire. Whether you’re single, lovesick, alone in the woods, or melting in a city, you’ll feel Leo’s blaze gushing from your savage soul. Similarly to Cancer, Venus in Leo is really designed to draw us closer to ourselves. This is a journey of self-discovery and, hopefully, self-love, but this takes much time and effort and is hardly as simple as looking in the mirror and saying, ok, I love myself now.
Leo is a fire sign like Aries and Sagittarius. Fire signs are active and restless. Venus in Leo also makes us headstrong, argumentative, and stubborn. Don’t take Leo’s fickle moods too seriously as they are exactly that: subject to change at any moment.
One manifestation of Leo is the angry child, flickering with shades of violent emotion. In the heat of the moment, Leo says things he doesn’t mean. Don’t be fooled by the pyrotechnics. Know that although the lion’s heart is open and courageous, it is also easily bruised.
Another manifestation of Venus in Leo is the gentle giant: soft, caring, and voluptuous (meow). At best, Leo puts aside his own shit to be totally present for his loved ones. He scoops up his friends and family with padded paws and provides the best entertainment.
And did someone say shopping spree? It’s no secret that Leo likes to indulge. Part of his karma (besides channeling his impressive will power into the right mediums) involves overcoming attachment to material possessions, especially clothes (shoes!), food, bevvies, vacations, and luxuries of all kinds. Rest assured, if Leo has money, he will spend it.
The highest manifestation of Venus in Leo is mutual respect and joy. When the Goddess of Love braids Leo’s mane, we learn the art of appreciation for self and others. The lion needs — as we all do — to feel acknowledged. Balanced Leo returns every favor, giving fivefold what he receives.
Aug 11: The 1st day of Venus in Leo is looking pretty crazy with a Supermoon in Aquarius + a tight T-square with the sun in Leo + Uranus in Taurus. Erratic energy, sudden change of plans, unusual weather patterns. Tension, social awkwardness, arguments. Tread lightly, trust your intuition.
Aug 18: Venus trine Jupiter Retrograde in Aries + Quarter Moon in Taurus. Sensual, mystical dreams. Waking life active and alert. Life moving quickly.
Aug 26: Venus square Uranus Retrograde in Taurus. All things bizarre, unsettling, and unusual. Not conducive for travel or socializing.
Aug 28: Venus opposite Saturn Retrograde in Aquarius. Impatience, irritation, tension. Not a good time for important conversations.
