Venus in Gemini ♀ 2025
artist: Sofia Bonati
July 4-30, 2025
With Venus in her home constellation of Taurus since the first week of June, working through relationship issues feels like talking to a wall. Relationship issues lead to anxiety and depression, which keep us at home, under Taurus’ weighted emotional blanket. Venus in Taurus has been not just reactive, but also a time of acute sensitivity. We long for all that is deeply familiar, all the basic human needs like touch, home, family, comfort, and nourishment. As a Taurus, I can confirm that overcoming inertia, and the impulse to rip someone’s head off, is a constant struggle. I love Taureans because we are bad to the bone, strong as hell, and never anyone but ourselves <3 Rest, self-care, and solitude are the antidotes to help us make it through this last week.
When Venus spins into Gemini, the work of distancing ourselves (air style) from Taurean attachments begins. That’s right, Venus in Gemini is a master class in detachment.
Gemini is just as elusive as he is gregarious. I know Gemini gets a bad rap for this, so let me add: Gemini needs detachment and connection, not just detachment. He is not purely aloof. Still, Gemini’s heart vacillates abruptly and unpredictably between nearness and distance. In order for Gemini to understand herself, something unspoken must be named. In so doing, she accepts her dual nature.
Venus in Gemini is fickle in relationships, like a cool breeze that starts and stops without warning. Gemini’s relationships, like her life, move quickly. The work we do with Venus does in Gemini each year is to give words to the unspoken, even amidst nonstop motion.
Those born with Venus in Gemini are a fun, lively addition to any friend circle. They are wry and witty, quick to laughter, and treat you like a new bestie. But how to please both twins at once – the introvert and extrovert, the artist and the warrior, the recluse and the clown – this is the question.
Gemini is the sign of duality and extremity, not equilibrium. We see this in Gemini relationships. Those with Venus in Gemini need to feel either totally superior or totally inferior to others. New friends and partners are idolized, revered, and elevated to superhuman status. Gemini briefly centers her entire life around this person until they inevitably come crashing down. Alternatively, Gemini yearns to be someone else’s idol.
Nothing is more important to Gemini than family and friends, yet Gemini’s social/romantic life tends to fluctuate between dominating and being dominated. To overcome this pattern, Gemini must identify whatever it is that perpetuates this cycle of abandoning her soul to another, then feverishly reclaiming it again and again.
The first day of Venus in Gemini (July 4) comes on the heels of a last-minute conjunction between Venus and Uranus in Taurus. Uranian influence is unfailingly erratic and unpredictable. Nothing will go to plan. Expected the unexpected! Very high energy day with confidence and physical strength flowing. July 4 is also the first day of Neptune Retrograde in Aries.
July 7: Venus trine Pluto Retrograde in Aquarius + Uranus enters Gemini. Pluto’s influence on relationship-oriented Venus is explosive & emotional. Major changes are in order, especially with Uranus entering Gemini for the first time in 84 years. Tread lightly.
July 10: Full Moon in Capricorn 🌕
July 12: Saturn Retrograde in Aries begins 🔥
July 17: Quarter Moon in Aries + Mercury Retrograde in Leo begins 🔥🔥
July 22: Leo Season begins 🐆
July 23: Venus square Mars in Virgo. When Venus and Mars face off, unstable relationships suffer. The stars indicate that goodbyes are in order, but only because we are ready for new, healthier patterns. It feels scary to let go but wonderful things await us <3
July 24: New Moon in Leo 🌑
