Venus is a lavish, indulgent goddess in her home constellation of Taurus, the sacred cow. Earth energy sits sweet and heavy, juicy ripe. Sensual earth sign Taurus lives in the body’s weight; in full bellies; passionate melodies; rich food; hot mugs of tea on cold nights; art; all things savory, luscious, and aromatic. The bull is deeply familiar, representing basic human needs like touch, home, comfort, food, and materials.
As a Taurus, I can confirm that lust and desire for material comforts is a constant struggle. We can be stingy, lazy, possessive, and yes – stubborn as hell. We languor in self-satisfaction and complacency. But we are sincere and straightforward, averse to superficiality, and unabashedly ourselves. Our karma is learning not to waste so much time and energy in the material world.
The Sun and Mercury both enter Taurus on Apr 19, kicking off another amazing Taurus Season ;)
On Apr 22 (Earth Day!), Venus will be conjunct Uranus in Taurus. This signals an influx of social and spiritual energy. Uranian influence is erratic and electrical. You may interact with foreigners. Possibility for a very dynamic day – stay away form screens. Get out of your comfort zone and do something unusual. During this conjunction two years ago, I found myself at a workshop in Iceland with Wim Hof, the Dutch “ice man” – it was an incredible, life-changing experience. This would be a great day to practice Taurus Yoga.
On Apr 24, Venus squares Saturn in Aquarius. The last time this transit occurred (Nov 19, 2020), I was exhausted and had a headache. The power was slowly dying in our house, so we couldn’t cook, get water, or turn on the heat. This influence is like a strange, dark, electrical cloud.
Apr 25 is a gold star day: Mercury will catch up to Venus for a conjunction. Very productive and harmonious day.
Super Full Moon in Scorpio coming Apr 26.
On May 6, Venus trines Pluto Retrograde in Capricorn. Together these planets stir the psyche at a profound level. Call in all things transformative and meaningful. This is the best time to develop greater intimacy with yourself and loved ones. Prepare for emotional catharsis. You will truly be able to feel what others are feeling.
Finally on May 8, just 12 hours before Venus scoots out the door into Gemini, she forms a last minute square to Jupiter in Aquarius. You may feel fatigued or energetically drained. Prepare for mood swings. Listen to “Venus, Bringer of Peace” by Gustav Holt to bring you back down to Taurus’ beautiful green earth. If you were born with Venus in Taurus, this is your Venus Return.
