Venus: goddess of art, romance, pleasure, and beauty. With Venus in fiery Sagittarius, life glows like a joyful solstice evening. This is an exuberant, festive cycle. Sagittarius the Centaur is spirited; vibrant; spontaneous. Venus enters Sagittarius on Dec 15, the birthday of my fabulous mom and brother – love you both <3
When planets transit Sagittarius, a childlike naïveté swirls. Sagittarius has been known to gallop away when a situation calls for an assertive response. He is not just physically restless, but also emotionally. He does not want to confront a person or a thing if it will cause discord. He just wants to dance around in his rose-colored glasses.
If only Sagittarius could slow down long enough to take a good look. If only he could still his mind and body, take a rest, let it all sink in, breathe deeply. This is the centaur’s greatest task.
On Dec 30, Venus squares Neptune in Pisces. This influence can be very disruptive. Take lots of deep breaths and expect turbulence on the interpersonal level. Our rhythm will be thrown off. Fatigue and weakness in the body likely. A great day to stay home and practice self-care. Feelings of hopelessness or lack of motivation are only temporary. This transit can also coincide with natural disasters like floods or heavy rains.
Venus transitions to Capricorn on Jan 8, the same day that Mercury transitions to Aquarius.
This is an especially favorable time for natal Sagittarians, as well as Aries and Leo. Celebrate the first day of this transit with Sagittarius Yoga. In meditation, focus on the sacral chakra.
