Mercury rules the mind, communication, and throat chakra. The earth of Taurus provides more grounding and definition than the chaotic fires of Mercury Retrograde in Aries. Mercury in Taurus gives us drive, confidence, and conviction. We’ve got a plan now. Also in Taurus at this time: the Sun (Apr 19-May 20) and Uranus (2018-2026). We should not feel guilty now for indulging in the two things Mercury in Taurus loves best: speaking our mind and living slowly. Mercury in Taurus is a meandering, simple, indulgent two weeks. Taurus is also impatient, despite expecting others to be infinitely patient with her. Ok and just to throw a little bit more shade, the cow is also highly averse to change and disruption. She will not build anything on unstable or uncertain ground. This is Taurean suicide, to even think about risking her security. Taurus fears the unknown. She is masterful rather at sustaining and maintaining what is already known, or what already exists.

Like a sleepy tortoise, Taurus is rooted in place. It’s true that her energy can be still or static but it is also extremely powerful when it is directed properly. We just need an external agent of motion (like creative work, a group project, a garden, etc) to keep this boulder inching forward. The message is clear: it’s ok to take your time. Inner peace is the sacred cow’s specialty. Feel it welling up from deep within the earth.

May 24: Sun trine Pluto Rx in Aquarius + Mercury conjunct Uranus in Taurus + Saturn enters Aries!! Extremely dynamic day. Saturn re-enters Aries for the first time in 25+ years. With such a huge influx of new energy, mental/emotional stress is likely. Get lots of sleep, eat lightly, and move your body. This marks the beginning of a completely new cycle. Prepare for huge changes in the upcoming months.
