The Waning Last Quarter Moon rises at midnight, peaks at dawn, and sets at noon all over the world, no matter your time zone. At this station, the sleepy moon in Pisces squares the pensive Gemini sun.
Last quarter moons are turning points or crossroads, clearing the way for the new moon / new lunar cycle. This phase prepares us for the New Moon in Gemini on June 6.
Gemini Season is fast and crazy. We need to slow down now and soak our whole body in Pisces’ ephemeral pool.
When Pisces appears in the sky, we never quite know what to expect. She’s not abrupt or abrasive. She’s not temperamental. She’s versatile and changeable, like sister water sign Cancer. She comes in many different moods, sequences, colors, dreamscapes.
As we descend with Pisces to her underwater cove, waves from the deep sea of Emotion & Memory swell above our heads. The purpose of this quarter moon is synchronization of thoughts/mental body (Gemini) with our spirit & emotions (Pisces). We will nourish two needs at once: the need to be connected to ourselves & others (Gemini) and the need to be emotionally open & expressive (Pisces).
Pisces tends to be a fatiguing, draining influence so we need to focus on self-care ***and avoid vices, especially alcohol***. Let’s be very intentional with what we put into our bodies. This moon phase really stirs up our nervous system and digestion.
This moon phase is like swimming & floating down the river of the heart, the river of dreams. I wish you rest & relaxation. I wish you regeneration, from the inside out.
If you socialize, expect to feel tired afterward (classic Pisces). You’ll need to rebuild your energy the next day. Once again: be very careful not to over-indulge with food or drink.
Surrender to the Pisces tug. How to resolve all the loose ends otherwise?
This moon phase coincides with a conjunction between Mercury + Uranus in Taurus. Like Pisces, this conjunction is generally fatiguing & draining. We will be confronting some mental/emotional stress, so get lots of sleep, eat lightly, and move your body. Travel not recommended. Additionally the moon herself forms a tight square to Venus in Gemini, so socializing is not recommended either. Take it slow. Go inward.
