Venus in Taurus ♀ 2025
artist: Valerie Hammond
June 5 – July 4, 2025
Venus entering Taurus is badass on its own, but it is really cause for celebration because we are exiting the shadow of the recent Venus Retrograde cycle in Aries & Pisces. Interpersonal turbulence marked the first 4 months of 2025. Venus Retrograde serves as a catalyst for the dissolution of relationships and is therefore not conducive for the initiation of intimacy. The major exception to this are those relationships which surface from the past. Venus Retrograde is the perfect milieu for reviewing and making sense of things which happened before.
Venus Retrograde in Aries was particularly paradoxical. To retrograde is to go back, yet Aries is the first constellation in the zodiac. This means that we had to conduct a retrospection while Aries pushed all existing relationships in fiery new directions. This entire transit was characterized by deep impatience. Aries is restless, sexual. In love he is impulsive and insatiable. Dancing in these flames, we learned to be calm; tactful; considerate; and yet bold; assertive; confident.
But all of these retrospective dynamics are settling down now, giving way to the solid earth of Taurus. We’re just in time for a lazy afternoon in the garden of the sacred cow.
Venus is a hedonistic, indulgent goddess when she returns to her home constellation Taurus. The sacred cow’s earth energy is sweet, heavy, juicy, ripe. Sensual earth sign Taurus lives for passionate melodies; delicious food; art; and all things savory, luscious, and aromatic. The bull is deeply familiar, representing basic human needs like touch, home, comfort, food, and material goods.
As a Taurus, I can confirm that overcoming lust, inertia, and desire for material comforts is a constant struggle. We can be stingy, lazy, possessive, and yes, stubborn. We languor in self-satisfaction and complacency. But we are also sincere and straightforward, averse to superficiality, and unabashedly ourselves <3
This is the perfect time to up your self-care game. Really we just need to take it easy and enjoy the simple moments in life. That’s all Taurus wants to do, just chill. If you have any questions about how to chill, please let me know, I can help you.
I also see the potential for true love to bloom, like a jungle orchid which grows mystically in the night, her sweet moonwhite tendrils searching for the perfect crevice in which to take root. Her purple stems and stalks grow more sturdy with each passing starlight, and then one evening she opens her perfumed veils to reveal a flower which glows with the flickering heat of Venus, seducing all who cross her path.
June 9: Venus square Pluto Retrograde + Mercury square Saturn & Neptune + Jupiter enters Cancer. Such a potent day with fire (Saturn & Neptune in Aries), earth (Venus in Taurus), air (Pluto in Aquarius), and water (Mercury & Jupiter in Cancer) ALL at play. This intensity will show up in the body. It is a good idea to take precautions against headaches by hydrating, for example. Power and control dynamics up for review; major emotional toxicity to release!
June 15: Jupiter square Saturn in Aries. Saturn, force of conservation, must reckon with Jupiter, force of expansion. This square is all about our conception of how capable we are. Many opportunities will come our way – and we are perfectly qualified! – but will we self-sabotage out of fear and doubt? Will imposter syndrome keep us from saying yes to life-changing new directions? Saturn’s influence (aka massive pressure!) indicates a period of major growth. This is an excellent time to take risks and start something new, we just have to believe that we are capable. New chapters, new careers, new everything. No matter what, we will exit this square feeling more mature and more prepared to handle the inherent difficulty of life.
June 18: Quarter Moon in Pisces + Jupiter square Neptune in Aries. Lots of mutable energy swirling around here (Sun in Gemini, Moon in Pisces, and then Jupiter & Neptune, rulers of Sagittarius and Pisces respectively – we’re only missing Virgo here!). We’ll be so restless that it will be necessary to go out and dance late into the night. The Jupiter-Neptune squares launches the mind far, far into the future. Sparkling visions of what could be are rapidly becoming reality now. And you know what, some things are working out even better than we had planned. This square represents a critical juncture in which we can both celebrate our progress and continue to catch glimpses of the future, arriving faster very day.
June 20: Summer Solstice / 1st day of Cancer Season! 🌻
July 4 (last day of transit): Venus conjunct Uranus in Taurus + 1st day of Neptune Retrograde in Aries. This is a last-minute conjunction, arriving just a few hours before Venus enters Gemini. Uranian influence is unfailingly erratic and unpredictable. Nothing will go to plan. Expected the unexpected!!!
