Happy birthday mermaids!
At the end of the zodiac wheel, Pisces calls from her opal cove. Pisces is the sign of two fish chasing tails in the waters of eternity. The fishes float as though in a trance, a vivid revery. As the last sign, Pisces asks us to reflect on the inevitable, proverbial death of all things. Itâs time to let go, be adaptable, and make space for new beginnings.
Pisces embodies many dimensions at once, disconnected from time and space. Life under the Pisces sun can feel pretty confusing on a spiritual level. We may fantasize about âswimming awayâ or disappearing without a trace. The Pisces flow leads us to nebulous, amorphous places, but donât be afraid, follow the gossamer jellyfish to the bottom of the sea. In the shadows of the kelp forest we confront addiction, denial, deceit, and other murky behaviors.
Existential crises, indecision, emotional sensitivity, and moodiness are all likely. Pisces season is when we are most vulnerable and prone to illness. The fishes are also nocturnal creatures, so prepare for changes in your sleep/dream life.
The doldrums of winter are not exactly inspiring. I think this is why Pisces season feels so disorienting and depressing. We have to reach deep into the gray for meaning and purpose, reasons to keep going, reasons to stay clear and grounded. Find a channel for this swirling water energy.
The fishes swim in arcs and loops, not straight lines, so forget about order. The more we relax, the faster we ascend. Pisces requires complete surrender. The more we create and release, breathe and sleep, walk and sing â the easier this cycle will be.
Pisces calls from her cenote: trust me, sweet child, come swim in my sea of long, delicious dreams. Her diaphanous cocoon shields and protects. Swept up by ocean arms, birth your silent, private intensity unto the world. Welcome changes and endings, all designed by something inconceivably immense. Rise with dignity from titanic depths, trident piercing the sky above. Life continues inexorably as water flows downstream. Have patience. This season takes place internally. Our progress will only be clear at the end. Be kind to yourself!
Mercury Retrograde will still be happening at the outset of this transit, but only until Feb 20.
The sun forms just one notable aspect during her time in Pisces, a conjunction to Neptune on Mar 10. Neptune rules Pisces, so this is going to be a very fishy day. Conjunctions like these bring people together. This could mean blissful lovemaking with your partner, or communion with friends from school or work. This conjunction came on Mar 8 last year. I had restless sleep, weird dreams, body pains, and a headache, but then a really nice yoga session with my love. This is pretty typical for Pisces/Neptune: one moment feeling stuck and gross, the next feeling inspired.
Honor this time of reflection, relaxation, and recharge. Give yourself permission to exhale, practice self-care, and be quiet. Pisces is complex, to say the least. Clarity comes in waves <3
To boost your creative energy, meditate on the sacral chakra. To explore more intangible realms, meditate on the third eye and crown chakra. Rest your body with Pisces Yoga.
