Happy birthday mermaids!
At the end of the zodiac wheel, Pisces calls from her opal cove. She is the constellation of two fish chasing tails in the waters of eternity, floating in a trance, a vivid revery. As the last sign, Pisces asks us to reflect on the inevitable, the proverbial death of all things. It’s time to let go and make space for new beginnings.
Disconnected from time and space, Pisces embodies many dimensions at once. The truth is that life under this sun can feel pretty confusing. When confronted with challenge, we may fantasize about swimming away, disappearing without a trace. Pisces leads us to nebulous, amorphous places, but don’t be afraid, just follow the gossamer jellyfish to the bottom of the sea. In the shadows of the kelp forest we face addiction, denial, deceit, and other murky behaviors.
The doldrums of winter are not exactly inspiring. I think this is why Pisces Season feels so disorienting and depressing. Existential crises, indecision, emotional sensitivity, and moodiness are all likely. This is also when we are most vulnerable and prone to illness. We have to reach deep into the gray for meaning and purpose. Find a channel for this swirling water energy. Keep going, you will find clarity in the confusion. You will find security in the whirlpool.
The fishes swim in arcs and loops, not straight lines, so forget about order. The more we relax, the faster we ascend. Pisces requires complete surrender. The more we create and release, breathe and sleep, walk and sing – the easier this cycle will be.
Pisces calls from her cenote: trust me, sweet child, come swim in my sea of long, delicious dreams. Her diaphanous cocoon shields and protects the life-death-life process. And yes, you will come back to life! Rise with dignity from titanic depths, trident piercing the sky above. Life continues inexorably as water flows downstream. Have patience. This season takes place internally. Our progress will only be clear at the end. Be kind to yourself!
Feb 19: New Moon in Pisces 🌑🐠
Feb 27: Quarter Moon in Gemini 🌓👯
Mar 7: Full Moon in Virgo 🌕🌿 + Saturn enters Pisces! 🐠✨
Mar 14: Quarter Moon in Sagittarius 🌗🦄
Mar 15: The culminating moment of Pisces Season is sun conjunct Neptune, ruler of Pisces. It doesn’t get any more Pisces than this. Hazy-high n psychedelic. Rainy mornings. Awkward social interactions, things are best kept non-verbal. A time of reflection, relaxation, and recharge. Chill hard, breathe deeply, practice self-care, be quiet. Pisces is complex, to say the least. Clarity comes in waves <3
Mar 16: Sun square Mars in Gemini. Anger flares up like clockwork when Mars is aspected like this. Reality does not align with expectations. Sudden disappearance of enthusiasm and motivation. Energy evaporates. Not a good time to move forward. Best plan of action: stillness.
Mar 17: Sun conjunct Mercury in Pisces. Gold star day, highly productive and cathartic at the same time.
