Uranus in Gemini ♅ 2025-2033

Uranus is the planet of liberation. Uranus rejects tradition and embodies all that is visionary, futuristic, and progressive. Uranian energy is innovative and educational, ruling areas of life like intellectual enlightenment and scientific discovery. Uranus is the spark which catalyzes revolutions and transforms society.

2025 is a wild year and I’ll tell you why. Uranus is actually just the most recent in a string of major planetary shake-ups. Every planet from Jupiter to Pluto has transitioned from an earth or water sign to a fire or air sign. Last year, Jupiter moved from Taurus to Gemini, and Pluto from Capricorn to Aquarius. This year, both Saturn and Neptune transitioned from Pisces to Aries, and now Uranus exits Taurus for Gemini. Next year is going to be insane when Jupiter enters Leo. Put all of your energy into 2026 because that’s when shit is going to happen, there is no other way to say it.

Uranus now enters air sign Gemini for the first time since 1949. But first, a recap of the most recent Uranian cycle in Taurus, beginning in May 2018:

Uranus in Taurus fundamentally changed the global economy and the way that we participate in it. I predicted that crypto-currencies would skyrocket under the influence of Uranus in Taurus and this did happen. Uranus does not promote security or consistency however. I think we can all agree that these last seven years have been marked by profound insecurity and inconsistency. And now we are dealing with the outright glorification of fascism, financial corruption, and oligarchic governance. Kingly decadence not seen since the likes of Louis XIV sits on the throne once again.

Uranus in Taurus was not just one long backslide into billionaire corruption – it was also an ideal time to build, invest, put down roots, or start your dream career – anything which increased your material/financial stability. I tried to do it, I tried to have a career and a stable life with a stable partner but it didn’t work out for me lol and now I live in Mexico City and make tiny wool Furbies to pay my rent. Still, with Uranus in Taurus, I was able to live in farm community, plant seeds, enjoy stability albeit briefly, and cultivate a safe haven where all were welcome. I felt richer than I ever have and none of it had to do with money.

Financial institutions and markets experienced unprecedented volatility with Uranus in Taurus, but more importantly, so did we as regular-ass humans on planet earth. Basic commodities and standards of living are harder than ever to afford. In true Uranian fashion, we have had no choice but to turn to one another. As always, a return to community poses a threat to those in power.

This is the next step, and the one we couldn’t quite reach with Uranus in Taurus: wealth and resources shall no longer belong to the individual, but instead to the community. Think of Taurus as the raw materials collection phase, and Uranus in Gemini as the agent of transportation which will distribute these materials. Pure survival mode gives way to the necessary conversation about how exactly we’re going to pull this off together. There is nothing left to seek or accumulate. Together we have everything we need. From this point forward, we collaborate and cooperate.

All Uranian transits incite unrest, one must simply know the constellation Uranus is transiting to know where the unrest is occurring. Uranus wants us to be insubordinate and independent. He wants us to rebel. All my alien freak homies want to know, where are we rebelling next?

Communication: Gemini rules the throat chakra. If you’ve ever talked to a Gemini, you know how much they like to talk. And learn. And draw. And write. They are fountains of communication and creativity, which I will talk about next. How to rebel in communication? Social media is a great place to start. We know that Uranus strives for truth and authenticity. Social media has destroyed truth and authenticity amongst the human species. How can we rebuild trust in one another? How can we learn to be intimate in person again? Perhaps by returning to modes of communication which predate social media. Events like poetry readings, concerts, open mics, etc are perfect venues to a) meet new people who are also interested in expressive communication and b) build hype for in-person expression.

Creativity: Uranus in Gemini will shine a spotlight on writing, language, music, and all verbal arts. In the spirit of rebellious communication, we are free now to share our creations, especially radical content. Remember, Uranus wants us to rebel with our words, Gemini’s specialty. The deep satisfaction you feel after an intellectual conversation is Gemini’s power. Uranus will also push us to discover new pathways for the distribution of our content, and not through social media. How to share our creations in a post-online world?

Relationships: Uranus in Gemini will conduct a review of sibling relationships but also friend, co-worker, and neighborhood relations. Gemini is about those closest to us, not necessarily the global community. Together with an emphasis on communication, Uranus in Gemini will encourage us to set boundaries, be more honest, and understand our relationships from a psychological perspective. Relationship to self is also up for review. Uranus in Gemini asks us to question and play with our identity, our appearance, our narrative.

It is very interesting that the last two times Uranus transited Gemini were during the Civil War and World War II respectively. What these time periods have in common is a massive shift in humanity in terms of our empathy and our capacity to recognize that our actions were destroying the fabric of society. With Uranus in Gemini, cognitive dissonance and justification of violence are vanquished in the light of clear, logical thought. We are human beings, all of us, and we all have human rights.

Uranus in Gemini will change the way that we conceive of ourselves forever. This will certainly be felt in schools and universities. Driven by cosmic forces, people will suddenly thirst to learn about anything and everything. I also hope that Uranus in Gemini signals the return of mind-expanding paranormal experiences like the thousands of UFO sightings which shocked the world in the 1940s.

I predict that social movements coupled with insane new technology will propel humanity in unforeseen directions over the next eight years. New forms of communication will appear, replacing smart phones and social media. More people will choose to be single and childless in an effort to grapple with the psychological impacts of generational trauma as well as the existential crisis of climate change. Intellectually, as well as emotionally, we are expanding at unprecedented rates. Our aim is to understand ourselves first on a cerebral level, and then from the heart. May this be the end of all ideologies which pollute earth and mind.

Uranus in Gemini will revolutionize publishing, literacy, media, and education. Now is the time to write. Free thought and free speech have never been more important. Creative expression can and must be unleashed in all forms. The voices of this generation will be heard for eons to come. To free your own mind is to free us all. Even if cold, hard intellectual observation is what it takes in order for us to find our empathy again, so it is. Only we can save ourselves.

It is time to water the lush garden of the mind. There are no limits. The galaxy opens from the inside out. And the revolution will not be televised.
