Sun and moon oppose one another in Gemini and Sagittarius: thought vs action. There will be little time, if any, for stillness or rest. This full moon is pure motion. The centaur archer burns through spacetime into a brilliant future.

Sagittarius is the archetype of the Teacher or Mentor. What we are learning comes together at this critical juncture. This is true in both a philosophical and emotional sense.

The fires of Sagittarius involve a tricky dance with honesty. Sagittarius is an interesting creature. His intentions are pure, his dreams harmless. But he believes in them so much that he is willing to overlook critical details in order to continue living out his fantasy. It is wrong to say that Sagittarius is dishonest; it’s just that he can’t quite grasp the whole reality of anything because that would mean accepting the shadow.

But for now…! let’s coast high on cotton candy dream clouds. Gemini Season only prolongs this wishful effect. Gemini loves distraction, a good story, an adventure. When the Summer Solstice comes, it will be time to go inward. But not yet. Sagittarius & Gemini are fast, outward-projecting energies. They carry us out into the world, into relation with other beings.
