Saturn in Aries ♄ 2025-2028

Saturn enters Aries, the sign of rebirth and new beginnings. I will talk about this at length in a moment. First a recap of Saturn in Pisces from March 2023 – present.

Saturn in Pisces was a fever dream, a dense, hazy wave. Like caterpillars we dissolved into goo and waited patiently for a transformation that still has yet to completely arrive. In the goo state we encountered our unresolved spiritual and emotional blocks. There was no escaping this uncomfortable process, though we tried many times to run away from ourselves.

With time we learned when to fight and when to surrender. We learned to trust ourselves, to be honest. Facing ourselves has never been harder or more important. We need humility, grace, and empathy to survive these confusing times.

This liminal stage, this final Pisces chapter, is closing quickly. Old patterns are ending, transmuting, receding into the riverbed. There is no plan or structure now, just a mysterious force that bends fate with withered hands. We are living moment to moment, catching glimpses of stillness in the turbulence. A 27-year cycle comes to an end and we know better than to push or force, so we stand on the shore with folded hands and watch Saturn arrive on a flaming golden ram.

Saturn in Aries is the beginning of another 27-year cycle, the first searing footprints at the beginning of the zodiac. Where Pisces left a wake of confusion and disillusionment, Aries hoists us onto a motorcycle. Aries is simple, direct, fueled by testosterone and adrenaline. The pace of life will be faster now, much much faster, and what welcome relief this is.

Those born with Saturn in Aries have their Saturn Return now. Saturn in Aries people have an entrepreneurial spirit in work and in life. They prefer to work for themselves so they can make all of their own decisions. The deep uncertainty we felt about our career and financial security while Saturn transited Pisces will now blissfully evaporate in the sure fires of Aries.

When Saturn arrives in Aries there will be such an influx of energy that the most important thing will be knowing how to direct this fire. We will need focus, correct timing, and contemplation. Many options will present themselves but we must choose wisely. Aries might be the most impulsive archetype of the zodiac. Will we have the patience to wait and deliberate all of our options? New pathways unfold like magic lotus petals. Pause for a moment; consider.

Warrior Aries enters the world stage when we are already suffering unprecedented violence. There is rage to work through, rage and indignation. It’s going to arrive in the places in which we cultivate stability and security, in our workplaces and governments and local communities. This is Saturn’s domain, after all. Questions of bodily rights and security will become even more important. Anger begets more anger, the fire burns hotter. Before you toss another match on all this fuel, take a breath.

Saturn in Aries will conduct an unflinching look at the divine masculine. Anger has been effectively designated “not an emotion” by male-dominated society. Anger actually is an emotion and it’s time that we started treating it as such so that it is not used so flagrantly as an excuse for impulsive (emotionally-driven!) decisions made by men in power. We will succeed during this transit if we find a way to build strength in our bodies and spirits rather than tearing others down. Stay focused here. Think exercise, creativity, and radical forgiveness.

June 15: Saturn square Jupiter in Cancer. Saturn, force of conservation, must reckon with Jupiter, force of expansion. This square is all about our conception of how capable we are. Many opportunities will come our way – and we are perfectly qualified! – but will we self-sabotage out of fear and doubt? Will imposter syndrome keep us from saying yes to life-changing new directions? Saturn’s influence (aka massive pressure!) indicates a period of major growth. This is an excellent time to take risks and start something new, we just have to believe that we are capable. New chapters, new careers, new everything. No matter what, we will exit this square feeling more mature and more prepared to handle the inherent difficulty of life.
